Google just released an update for shopping campaigns that definitively makes it easier to share the most important information with potential buyers: Google Shopping Automated Extensions.
As for every extension in AdWords, they come at no extra cost for the advertiser and make the ads more prominent.
How Automated Extensions for Google Shopping Work
Google uses your own data feed to add extensions to your shopping campaigns and therefore the quality of the feed will directly impact the success of a product compared to competitors.
Google strongly recommends to take advantage of merchant promotions, product ratings and trusted store certificates to boost the performance of your campaigns.
In line with this change, Google decided to retire promotional texts by the end of September 2015. You can currently set up promotional texts in the “ad” tab of each of your shopping campaign ad groups:
Google will use the space previously occupied by text promotions to insert extensions in the shopping results.
